What to see

We are located in the heart of the Capanne di Marcarolo Natural Park, a protected area made special by its proximity to the sea. The coexistence of the snow of the Apennines and the wind blowing from the Ligurian Sea, of the cold winters and the warm and breezy summers, of the altitude of the slopes and the exposure to the sea, developed a biodiversity that cannot be found anywhere else.

The local flora and fauna leave you speechless: if you walk among the chestnut, beech and oak woods, with a little luck, you can sight birds of prey like kites, buzzards, goshawks and the very rare whitish eagle, called snake eagle.

You can also see wolves, wild boars, foxes, badgers, dormice, roes, hares, rare butterflies, amphibians and protected botanical species.

Moreover, the numerous small rivers, such as the Lemme, the Piota and especially our Gorzente, form natural swimming pools of crystalline green water and pristine beaches, heavenly places that we invite you to discover.
