Baita Rio Gorzente is located in the south-east of Piedmont, in the municipality of Bosio, close to the mountain village of Capanne di Marcarolo, right in the heart of the Piedmontese Apennine Natural Park.
This protected area covers about 9500 hectares between Val Lemme, Val Polcevera and Valle Stura: we are in the area called “Piemontemare”, the Piedmont closest to the sea.
There are thousands of paths to follow on foot, on horseback or mountain bike, which allow you to discover unique places and to cross very different landscapes in a short time.
Starting from the Baita, you can walk upstream and reach the peaks of Monte Tobbio, Monte Poggio and Monte Figne, to name a few; other routes lead downstream towards the lakes of Lavagnina and those of Lavese.
In addition to the routes that we have pinpointed in the map above, which have the Baita as the starting point, you can find many other trails in these websites:

Enjoy your walk!
